Hi!  I'm Katie...

Welcome to my little piece of the internet where I share all things pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, then spam you with pictures of my adorable little girls. And when I say I share all things I mean ALL the things… we talk about fitness, nutrition, birth plans, and baby cuddles, but we also talk about vaginas, hormones, poop, incontinence, amniotic fluid, spit up, (basically all the fluids), and everything in between!

Like most people, I didn’t know anything about pregnancy or birth until I became pregnant myself. I was a fitness professional, but I had no idea what to do while I was pregnant and unlearning everything I “learned” from movies or even popular Instagram accounts was another whole process.

Is this safe? Did I overdo it? What the hell is diastasis recti and is it contagious? Am I going to pee my pants all the time after giving birth? What if I can't stomach protein? Everyone keeps telling me to sleep while I can, but I already can't! Am I failing at this already?

I started going to prenatal yoga about halfway through my first pregnancy.  My teacher introduced me to books by women like Ina May Gaskin and Penny Simkin and for the first time in my pregnancy (and life) I wasn’t hearing horror stories about how painful and unbearable childbirth was, but about how beautiful and empowering it could be!

I’ll admit I was skeptical of the stories in Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth.  I mean… how could birth actually be that magical?

But it was!  It is!

And I’ve made it my life’s work to ensure others know the magic of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood through fitness, education, respect, and support.

Whether I am serving you as a prenatal and postpartum coach, prenatal yoga teacher, birth doula, childbirth educator, or all of the above, my goal is to enhance your birth experience -- physically, emotionally, and energetically.
